More active than any senior class officers before them, the executive committee purchases and plants on the campus a live oak tree in honor of Mrs. Mary Jo Galbraith, co-spon- sor of the class. Deserving this hon- or by being the recipient of much good humored teasing for riding a bicycle to school each morning, Mrs. Galbraith holds the shovel for Bob Jones as he lowers the massive oak into the freshly dug hole. The one spot the action is not-is a window sill. The impossibility of finding a spot where one is not pushed, stepped on, or carried in- voluntarily by the masses drives students seeking a spot to study to unconventional but functional areas.
