The Highlands campus became a winter wonderland when on Febru- ary 23 San Antonio received three and four-tenths inches of snow. The doors of Highlands op- ened this year allowing 2,500 students to cram into the halls. Many were destined to lead the masses of 1965-66. For it was during this year that crowds were swayed by the current fad, be it beatle-boots or surfer hair cuts. Throngs of students support- ed the Owls throughout a dis- heartening season. Though we trailed behind previous records in football and basketball, the HHS students were motivated by an indestructible spirit-the spirit to fight. Not only did Highlands' pop- ulation surmount obstacles on the field and court, but also those they were confronted with daily. Long soda water lines were met with patient sighs. Crushed together in the halls, students resigned themselves to the fact that they would be carried along with the masses. From television shows to the latest fashions, from the ad- ministration to a current hairdo, all can be classified as motiva- tors of the masses of Highlands. For this reason Mass Motiva- tion was chosen as the theme for Brigadoon '66, ln order to portray the many instances in which we are induced by out- side factors the annual revolves around this theme. In it, you may view yourself as an indi- vidual among the masses. Or perhaps you were one of the few motivators of the masses.
