BDARD 0F EDUCATION SEATED: lVlr. Elmer Hill fsecretaryj, lVlr. Seymour Feldman qV.P.J, August Muller CSuperintendentJ, Jo- seph Petruzzi. STANDING: Mr. Roy Wager, lVlr. Leonard DeGeorge, Mr. Veto Filippone, lVlr. Richard Schramm, Nlr. Edward Smith, Nlr. Richard Rabeau, lVliss Andrea Wurtzel, lvlr. Donald Downer. SUPERINTENDENT TO THE cLAss OF 1973: I I U - , Akkiii i It is everthe aim andioy of manto progress. ! To progress is to advance, to advance is to . grow, and in growth is found the very essence of man and state. Among the powerful nations of the world, it is the quality that makes one coun- try dominant and all others subservient thereto- other things being equal: it is that quality which guides the creative and progressive thinking of its people. By gaining the right to vote, you have now become an added ingredient that can assure this continued growth and continued progress. However, without assuming a sense of re- sponsibility this right is meaningless, and in turn responsibility becomes meaningless when it is not accompanied by effort and hard work. Those of you who have this capability and desire will succeed individually but of greater importance is that through you, and others like you, this nation can prosper and endure. To this end l extend to you my very best wishes. Sincerely, August W. Muller Superintendent of Schools 18
