Members of the Class of ’69 were readily distinguished as those students haphazardly clad in baby blue, severely shrun- ken Prom sweatshirts whenever a show of school spirit was required. However, seniors did gather the strength to sweep into downtown Highland Park on November 11 for the annual Work Day. More energetic seniors, who were sufficiently demented to be carrying five solids, were offered the opportu- nity to officially take one course pass-fail. If seniors did learn anything at all this year, it was undoubtedly their names, addresses, and social security num- bers, the three mysterious universal requirements for college applications, SAT’s, ACT’s, and numerous other infamous institutions. Besides suffering through this mental stress, seni- ors also increased their physical endurance by trying to outrun the faculty on Blue Tuesday. Again, it was the seniors who stirred their old bones to produce Stunts and create a new organization, Student Movement. However, the seniors’ main desire was to graduate, which they did in large numbers. NATIONAL MERIT SEMI-FINALISTS: BACK ROW: Rick Weil, Liz Cheresh, Tina Barr. MIDDLE ROW: Peter Nicholson, John Levine, Lois Zimmer- man, Larry Kanter, Tom Kennedy. FRONT ROW: Mike Carasik, Robbie Glueck, Vivian Scgall, Cliff Saper.
