Color Her Mom’’ The Girls' Club Mofhor-Daughter banquot, hold this year on Thursday, December 13, con- tributed as usual to familial harmony. En- titled Color Hor Mom, the evening paid tribute to the trials of mothering a teenager. A dolicious dinner of spaghetti and french bread, (deathly on the waistline), was followod by a series of skits as entertainment. Even the mothors got into the act as thoy complained, for a change, about their daughters. Decora- tions, in keeping with the theme, were done in bright colors and geometric designs, blend- ing well with the cheerful atmosphere of the af- fair. How'ro you gonna loop thorn down on tho farm after thoy'vo boon East? H.G.A. B r ♦ i g a d o o n Lynn Roislor as Fiona woitin for hor deario , as tho villago Iassios gozo on. Universally acclaimed as the best musical ever pro- duced in Highland Park. Brigadoon justified tho expense of renting colorful Broadway sets and costumes. On Fri- day, the cast confounded visiting AFS’crs by wearin' their plaid sashes t’class. Fiona was played by Jill Stein and Lynn Roisler: Tommy, by Dan Shapiro and Larry Rubenstein; Jeff, by Dave Simons and Ken Finder: Meg, by Gail Hirsch and Suzy Eckman; Charlio, by Warren Nelson and Scott Hanson; Joanie, by Jan Michell and Marilyn Schor: Mr. Lundie was done by Mark Lavin; Mr. Beaton, by Lance Rodgers: Mr. McClaren, by Jon Straus; and Jon Brent stole the show as the ill-fated Harry Beaton. From the moment bagpipes filled tho air. the audience was lost in a mist o'the Scottish Highlands. A beautiful scrim transition from forest to valley revealed the village o'Brigadoon, complete with goat, collie, and (to the boys' chagrin) kilts. The delightful love story, set against the background of drama and humor, left tho audience with a bonny good feelin', and a bit of a Scottish brogue. Dan Shapiro at Tommy, ond Jill Stoin os Fiona, in Tho Heather on the Hill. 28
