Four years of high school hove brought us mo- ments of both satisfaction and futility. In future years we will remember entering the doors as lonely freshmen, as well as graduating as confident seniors. Our lasting memories, however, will be of the sum of our experiences, the education which we received here at Highland Park High School.

I Miss Morgan advises her Ameri- can Lit students to use concrete examples in their thomes. Miss Edith Morgan DEDICATION TO THOSE WHO DEDICATED YEARS TO US The teacher is a person, but if we were to follow him through a school day, we might readily believe that he is superhuman. From the 6:30 a.m. alarm to the 1:00 a.m. lights out, the teacher moves through such varied activities as meeting 27 fidgety and eager session members, helping plan the next faculty meeting or PTA program, facing four or five classes and often a study hall, grading anywhere from 120 to 150 papers, planning lessons, and talking to parents. Despite his full schedule, he makes time to counsel us or give an extra thirty minutes for an explanation. We recognize four of the outstanding members of the HPHS staff in this dedication, realizing that to pay tribute to any dedicated teacher is to pay tribute to all of them. 8 Miss Beckmire explains a principio of diagramming to one of her English classes. One little-touted service of Miss Losswell is the teaching of a homo nursing unit to the home ec girls.
