NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY On the basis of scholarship, leadership, character, and service, 88 members of the senior class were elected to National Honor Society, the highest honor a high school student can achieve. The membership, which is limited to fifteen per cent of the graduating class, is chosen from a list of those students ranking in the upper third of the class at the end of the junior year. Seniors and faculty members vote on leadership and service. Character is determined from the annual character ratings of homeroom, classroom, or activity teachers. The final decision is made by a committee of administrators and faculty members. On October 9, 1959. these students were initiated in a solemn candlelight ceremony. The presidents of Boys' and Girls' Clubs gave pins to the new members. BACK ROW: 8. Giangiorgi. D. Demichelis, D. Klei man, G. Abrahamson. M. Zuckort. R. Hollmann. J Knoll. B. Miller, F. Riback. J.
