After an outstanding indoor season, Mr. Ault expected his trackmen to hold their own in outdoor competition. Dave Rudolph was one of the top pole vaultors in the state. He also competed in the discus and relay events. Other standout runners included Mike Altman and Buzzy Joseph. Hurdlers Bob Brown and Jim McLaughlin along with shotputter Bob Benvenuti were other key performers. The frosh-sophs also enjoyed a victorious indoor season. Returning from last year. Gene Altman and John Scornovacco led the team in the running department. With enough freshmen to round out the squad, they had an exceptional year.
