JUNIOR VARSITY BASKETBALL TEAM Boltom Row: Ron Maestri. Mike Altman. Toby Aaron, Jim McLaughlin. Top Row: Paul Homung, manager; Harry Vignocchi, Wally Stein, Ron Norman, John Knoll, manager. The junior varsity squad participated in basketball for the first time this year. Several juniors obtained valuable playing experience. Ronnie Maestri, Toby Aaron, Wally Stein and Harry Vignocchi were the JV standouts. These players, along with Peyton and Ellis, should be the backbone of next year’s varisty. The freshman teams were especially successful. Coach Holding’s B squad won a fair share of their games and showed steady improvement. The A squad, coached by Mr. Hall, took third in the unofficial league standings. Tim Russell appeared to be one of the finest freshman cagcrs in recent years, averaging thirteen points per game.
