Mother-Daughter Banouct Diverted from the wonderful food for a moment arc Our clever mothers smile after their performance. Missy McClure. Bonnie Brienza. and Janet Henderson. Political Pot-Pourri The campaign came to Highland Park on October 25. 1956, in the form of the Girls’ Club Banquet and Benefit. Limited space allowed eight hundred girls and their mothers to attend the Ban- quet, while 1019 flocked to the Benefit show. The latter, consisting of songs, dances, and skits by an all-girl cast, provided $6 X) for the Girls’ Club scholarship fund. The waiters (better known as the Boys’ Club) did a fine job serving the dinner. By the way, they cut down on accidents this year. The entire cast of the Girls' Club show pose anxiously a few moments before show- time. Page 9

The Purloined Lamp Aladin’s Lamp? No, just the one belonging to the Sultan of Aiabia — but oh what trouble it caused. The robbers- took place on November 17, when the senior class presented the 1956 edition of Student Stunts, “Fantasia Arabia.” Caroline Millet, student director, and senior class sponsor, Mrs. Handbcrg, and drama coach, Mrs. Todd, greatly contributed to the suc- cess of “Fantasia Arabia. The script committee consisted of Ronnie Johnson. Richie Kushen. Mollv Mason. Karen Lauter, and Roger Mandel. As always, the annual production was sponsored by the senior class. The proceeds, unusually good as the auditorium was packed to the gills, were put toward the publication of the Little Giant,” with the drama department and the senior class getting some of the funds.
