Standing behind then are Mr. James Porter, attorney: Mr. Arlaendarinz, Clerk: Ton Kerr, Business Manager: and nr. lendall Goodwin, Sunerintendant of Topeka schools. Board of Education The Board of Education is the hub in the wheel of school government. It makes theschool policies and reg- ulations by which the educational system is run and decides on budgets and various other important details. School Nurse Guidance Counselor Mrs. Ransdell, the school nurse, helps guard Highland Park students from the various little disease bugs which are floating around by sending them home when they are sick and by checking them when they return to make certain they are in quite good health before readmitting them. Mr. Herrman is the man to see if you are uncertain as to what you want to be or what college you should attend. He helps students make up their minds about their future, gives ap- titude tests, and helps students obtain scholarships.
