OREWORD Hi! This is Scottie, your mascot, recording the events that have passed by you during the school year, 1954-55. This has been an unforgettable year for all of us at Highland Park. We will always remember our money- minded senior class . . . the football games when we beat our arch rival Topeka High and undefeated Shawnee Mission . . . and the spirit of our basketball team al- though it was a losing season . . . And, something new has been added this year, the Highlander Queen. We hope in years to come, she will become a tradition like Homecoming Queen. Here is a memory book to help you recall those wonderful high school days . . . the staff and I hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoy presenting it to you.
