Carpenter, the win- ning of the silver emblem in the National Chapter con- test Was the most outstanding achievement of the F.F.A. for 1940 and '41, In the District F.F.A. Poultry Judging contest at Ottawa, the Highland chapter ranked second among twenty-iive com- peting teams. While attending the officers, training school at Shawnee Mission in September, the local group placed first in the opening ceremony contest and second in the parliamentary procedure contest.
