Now, having arrived, we are ,gl EI sorry that we must leave. Happy days, full of useful work and Joyful play lil E' - have been our experience in High School life. The sympathy and help of our E lg teachers will remain with us as one of the outstanding features of education. E E Being a peppy class, we have always had a good social time. The burden of E 53 the three past years work has been lightened with frequent parties and get ggi lg togethers that have always been well attended. This year, being our last, E E has been the best. Seldom has a class enjoyed such Whole hearted fun. Our enthusiasm is very thorough, so we are represented on the entire round gl of school activities. Especially do we shine in Athletics. The Football team gave splendid results under the guidance of John Bessant. He was reenforced Q by Johnson, Lewis, Nelson, Wettengel and Calderwood. Again, on the El Basket Ball court we were ably represented by Royer, Lewis, Wettengel, Cal- if lg derwood and Bessant. The boys have had to share their honors this year with E ig the girls. Joy Reynolds has the honor of being the captain of the Ciirls' gi Basket Ball team that won the State Sportsmanship Trophy. Joy did not EE EE play the games by herself though. Her team-mates from our class were Cross, E and Bloch. We are very proud of them. E E In the finer arts the Seniors also make a good showing. In the Glee Clubs E the Class is represented by four girls and four boys. Juanita McKelvey and E Alfred McNemar represented H. P. in the County Music Contest by singing lil Contralto and Baritone solos, respectively. In the Dramatic Club we were IZ found, Reynolds, Siegfried, McKelvey and Wilder being our representatives. S E E lg And lastly but not least, is the Senior Play, The Road to the City, with E E John Bessant and Mabel Bloch in the leading roles. The story is of a young E gi girl who confuses true love with wealth and position. She realizes her mistake Q lg when it seems almost too late. After she has committed a deed that will E E darken her whole life, she awakens to find that it has been a dream. She then E 131 marries the man she really loves and the villain gets his just dues.
