On the night of March 14, the Lads and Lassies Choir and the Highland Park Orchestra presented a musical production entitled It Happened This Way, a program that depicted the life of America in music. The scenes started in a Puritan church, proceeded to Revolutionary America, and then to the southern days. From the old South the scene shifted to the West and a state fair. The program ended in modern times with a theater scene. Pure ezzfbufiamz if df.ff7lzIj'6d by :be boys of Ike Lady and Lanier :zz relyearml

Hungry Sfolr line for noozzday meal. With memories such as the rush to the lunch room, the long walk from the parking lot, the roar from the pep rallies with the boys on one side and the girls on the other, the promenading in the halls in the morning, and the victory flag flying from the flagpole, we shall never forget our days and years at Highland Park. The sounds of typewriters, of music from the choir, band, and orchestra rooms, of machines from the shops, of teachers' voices, and of the morning announcements will long ring in our ears. And long will remain in our hearts the words We will honor, and We will cherish thee, Dear Hi Park High.
