. me 9 a eM MOAN AA a a a a ERED ERRE LRRD ORDA DB DEAS eed : a aces FRANK MONROE Superintendent, Highland Park Schools Last year Highland Park gained a good friend and an able superintendent in the person of Mr. Frank Monroe. Because of his friendly personality and the great interest he took in all our activities, Mr. Monroe has within a year en- deared himself to all the students and faculty members of the Highland Park School District. Mr. Monroe was born in Hood County, Texas. He was graduated from high school at Canyon and entered West Texas State College, where he obtained his Bachelor’s degree. While at West Texas State he also played basketball. The year after he was graduated, he began teaching at a school in Friona, Texas and later at Pampa. In the summer of these years he took post-graduate work at the University of Missouri and the Colorado State College of Education, where he gained his Master’s degree. Later he studied further at the University of Texas and Columbia University. In 1941 Mr. Monroe went to Midland High School, where he remained for thirteen years as a principal and superintendent before coming to us in 1954. Page Eight

Page Ten BEN W. WISEMAN Principal, Highland Park High School For more than a quarter of a century Mr. Wiseman has been the capable and understanding principal of Highland Park High School. Much of the credit for Highland Park’s high standards and achievements may be attributed to his efforts.
