President, Verna Jobes. lf . Secretary and Treasurer, Nellie Gore. 1, if HE Primary Department is a division of the Normal Department and is 531 one of the oldest and most energetic in the college. Its strength and en- thusiasm has not suffered in any way because of the present war as have K the other departments and the outlook for future prosperity is the bright- est. The department offers training in all branches of primary education, prac- tical and theoretical, and its induence in the teaching world is plainly felt. ' Miss Helen Linn, who is a graduate of Mondamin High School, and who will graduate from the Primary Department this year, has capably filled the position of critic teacher in the sub-primary and' first grade. Miss Viola Cannon, of Interior, S. D., has successfully served as critic teacher for second and third grade and has shown her ability as a primary teacher. She will complete her primary course in August. V
