FCREIGN LANGUAGE CLUBS SEEK The year's French Club officers were: president, Joe Lawrenceg vice president, Ann Mitchellg secretary, Rita Rudczencog treasurer, Seth Cohen, Advisor was Mrs. Gjesdahl, The club met on the first Thursday of every month, Some of the activities were going to a French restaurant for dinner, sponsoring a dance celebrating Mardi Gras, and attending a French movie. At their first meeting the Spanish Club elected Leslie Jones, president, Regina Bates, vice presidentg Barbara Lunke, secretaryg and Teresa Pedersen, treasurer. The advisors were Senora Moran and Senora Miller. ' Some of the activities this year were making a constitution and collecting canned foods. They also arranged for speakers, sponsored a dance, cooked lunch for the faculty and went to a Spanish restaurant, Highland's German Club activities were painting garbage cans, collecting coupons for the yearbook's B, C, C, drive, making posters for parents night and having a German Dinner for the faculty, They also sold candy and popcorn to pay for a trip to Leavenworth, The officers were president, Linda Shapleyg vice presi- dent, Mary Barichg secretary, Nan Gable, treasurer, Lori Blockg and the advisor was Mr. Kyte. This was the smallest turnout in recent years, RIGHT: The German Club was small, but very active this year. BELOW: The Spanish Club was a new group this year,

STUDENT STORE EXPANDS The Student Store was manag- S ed by the General Business class ii this year, though a number of vol- unteers from the student body who were not taking the class signed up to work during their lunch period. The store began the year at the old stand in the Commons, but later was moved to the cafeteria, to be closer to the customers. The French Club is one of the largest and most active clubs in school.
