LEFT TO RIGHT: Patty Ansel, CharEl Baxter, Joni Ringstad, Carol Bowden, Sue Hanen, captain: and Toni Puzzo, High1and's Pep Staff did many things to promote school spirit at the school this year, sometimes working with the Pep Club, They sold shakers and pep buttons, They made posters to announce games and dances, They spotlighted football players in the fall by putting large paper footballs on their lockers, The Pep Staff made victory cakes and gave parties for the Eagle athletes. Because some of the projects needed funding, they held a bake sale to raise money, Last summer, the staff won awards at a one-week cheer camp, held for leaders in the area. Spirit and interest de- veloped at the camp rubbed off on Highland students this year. One innovation this year was the Pep Points, points given for attendance and games and activity participation, Applicants for Pep Staff for next year will be evaluated partially on these points, Page 50
