The Scotties finished the league play with two wins and five losses against very formidable opposition. mer, Stan Sorenson, Coach. In addition to A squad play, Highland this year played a B squad and a Freshman team schedule. Another highlight of the season was the 15-0 no-hit-no-run win over Selah. Roger Smith, Jerry Gillespie and Ray Buckley combined to pitch the ball game. Ron Rochel and C. G. Robbins were chosen by their teammates at the end of the season as captain and inspirational award winners. Ron and jerry Gillespie, were chosen to play in the All-Star games in Yakima. The Seniors who will be lost by graduation are Jim Manring, Ron Rochel, Marion Hess, Oscar Strope, Roger Smith and jim Losey. A st-rong nucleus will return for next year's varsity team. The leading hitters for Highland were Strope, Gillespie, Robbins, Ron Rochel and Jim Manring. They all hit .400 or better. SCHEDULE Highland.
