STARK SENIOR-ITIS The first realization in finally becoming a senior is both scary and satisfying, haunting and humbling. challenging and cheering. It's a stark realization; a rude awaking; Wow! I'm a senior. There is talk amongst our peers. Talk of how scary it is to know that we ll be the ones marching to Pomp and Circumstance while relatives, teachers, and underclassmen view the reception of diplomas, some even cry. We cry. We cry for the deep love, the comradeship, and the good times we don’t want to lose; we cry for our years together, our up's and downs, our good and bad. We've been through it all together and it’s always been good to know someone’s always there when we need him. Whether he be in front to lead, in back to support, or beside, to be there; just in case. Time moves so fast. First we re freshmen, naive and free. Next we re sophomores, now we see. Next year’s juniors all are we. Boom we re seniors, busy as bees scrambling and preparing; which path for me?

mid (tea iha I’ll never forget the times we’ve had. Whether they’ve been good or bad. They’ve all meant a lot to me. And hold in store great memories. The things you strive to make the best. Studying for the final test. Going out on Friday night. Hoping things will turn out right. Having friends that mean so much. To think- they’ll soon be out of touch. Savoring each moment spent together. Wishing they could last forever. I want time to stop: to hold. But it keeps going fast and bold. Winter snow, spring fever fun. Morp. Prom. Graduation, then none. It leaves me empty deep inside. To know you won’t be at my side. The times will still go on. it’s true. But good times seem so far and few. - Marie Cavalli. 155
