Although the girls track team did not have an outstanding year, it was a good fun year said Ms. Tufly. The team was very young this year. Out of 29 girls who completed the season. 10 of them were freshmen. Some of the girls' accomplishments this year are; Shelly Bloom's 5’4 in high jump, and went to state and all conference in high jump. Theresa Newton set a new 300 hurdles school record at 46.56 second and went to state in this event. Nancy Smith broke the school record in the 2 mile run with a time of 12:41.6. The 400 relay team, consisting of S. Bloom. M. Fletcher. D. Gioia and C. Cavalli set a school record 52.1 I seconds and made state and all conference. The 880 medley team (S. Bloom. M. Fletcher. T. Newton, and C. Cavalli) went to state. Congratulations Girls!
