This two act play originally written by Rick Besoyan in the later 1950's is set early in the century at a Colorado Inn high in the Rocky Mountains. This comedy melodrama is based around the life of the innocent and jovial Little Mary Sunshine. The musical begins with Captain Warrington and his men bringing the renagade Indian Yellow Feather to justice, along with helping him to change his ways. While all of this is taking place. Little Mary's Colorado Inn is brought back to a stable position. She accomplishes this with the help of her close companions. Big Jim. Billy Jester. Nancy Twinkle, the forest rangers, and the young ladies of the Eastchester Finishing School. The play just wouldn'; be complete with out a happy ending. So as the drama ends, quite a bit of romance has ended the scene. Mary and Big Jim fall in love. Billy somehow manages to tame the fliratious Nancy Twinkle. Ernesteni and Oscar discover their mutual affections, and last but not least all of the young ladies manage to trap themselves a righteous forest ranager. The musical was presented March 27. 28. and 29. 1981 at 8 p.m. in the Highland Auditorium. f THE N MOUNTIES GET THEIR MAN 129
