The 1974-75 Cross Country Team ended a good season with the record being 3-5. Coach Fritch commented he was satisfied with the season. Soph. Marvin McGrady qualified for the district cross country meet on Oct. 26. The whole team ran at the Nazarene College where each member received a ribbon. The top runner Marvin McGrady's best time was 11:35. On Oct. 30 the team gave a surprise birthday party for Coach Fritch.

The Freshmen players gained a lot of experience, especially in the backfield, al- ' though they did not win any football I games. This was evident in the running abil- ities of Richard Price with the most TD's V and yardage, and of Jerry Westbrook who had an excellent season at the full- back position. One highlight was the Lawson to Abra- ham pass that covered 45 yards. The defensive line did an excellent job, and Weaver and Lawson teamed up to get the only safety ofthe year for the frosh. 1 z Scot ball carrier is stopped by Card. defense. A first for Highland was the high- steppers' performances at two football games - Homecoming and Marion Catholic. They got underway for basket- ball season doing routines to Franken- stein, Rockin' Robin, The Enter- tainer, and Varsity Drag.
