The Freshmen players gained a lot of experience, especially in the backfield, al- ' though they did not win any football I games. This was evident in the running abil- ities of Richard Price with the most TD's V and yardage, and of Jerry Westbrook who had an excellent season at the full- back position. One highlight was the Lawson to Abra- ham pass that covered 45 yards. The defensive line did an excellent job, and Weaver and Lawson teamed up to get the only safety ofthe year for the frosh. 1 z Scot ball carrier is stopped by Card. defense.
