With a l-8-l season. the Scots played much better than their record indicates. Of the 8 games they lost, 3 were by a touch- down or less. The Knights of Northmor battled the Scots for Highland's only tie. Although Cardington was the team's only win, the Scots played stingy defense throughout the season, holding each opponent to a lesser score than the previous year. Highlights on offense were Joe Porter's clutch receptions, Mike Beck's 4 T.D.'s, and top ground gainer Mike Martin's rushing yardage. On defense, Mike O'Quin led the team in tackles along with receiving the most valuable defensive lineman award. Joe Porter and Kevin Shinnaberry shared the best offensive lineman award, and Bob Myser was voted MVP along with capturing best offensive and defensive back awards. cots' Determination Is Shown in Close Games ' '.
