What makes a world of our own? There are routines we follow daily that establish the setting for the stage. And the variety of opportunities offered us supply the chance for surprises and for learning. There are the people that we allow into our sphere and make it all ro- tate. Our realm of being can be as broad or as narrow as we want it. It can be broad- ened by simply creating new experiences and meeting new people. It can be made narrow by not becoming involved with anything outside of ourselves. There is a big earth outside of the walls of school. An earth filled with things awaiting our touch and grasp. To accomplish the task set before us we must first recognize that it is there. Then we must overcome any fear of it and decide to do a good job. With enough confidence in ourselves, we can not only take care of this world, but also make whatever comes in the fu- ture, A world of our own. 2 Opening
