SPECIAL EV Throughout the year many things take place in Highland High School. The students meet new students, see old friends, and start classes once more. Also students find that to make their high school year more complete, they participate in sports, clubs and special events such as the homecoming and the prom. 9 °

Cartwright, N. Flezman, B. Abrams, S. Dunsha, J. The officers of Student Council are: Jim Ranftl, Vice-President; Lynn Johnson, Secretary; Ken Luttner, President; Craig Cobb, Trea- surer, and Mrs. Myers, Advisor. Our Student Council has been very active this year and has made a variety of accomplishments. They are trying to build better communications be- tween the students and faculty. The Student Council sponsored different activities such as Stunt Night and forming an Activity Fund. N.H.S. The National Honor Society has sponsor- ed various educational assemblies with speak- pb Malls ers such as “om Field and Senator Ocasek. The N. S. also provided the very amusing Joy the Magician and an assembly on Nar- cotics. The N.H.S. along with their advisor’s Mr. Kahl and Mr. Chaffee work to better the school in leadership, scholarship, service, and character. The N.H.S. members are: Front row: B. Brown, J.
