Alma Mater Oh, Highland High School, now to thee. We sing our song of loyalty. We sing thy glory and thy fame. All praises to thy honored name. Come and join us while we sing. We’ll make the nearby hillsides ring. Our faith in thee will never die. We’ll always love thee Highland High. Foreword As you search through the looking glass of these pages and your mind, we hope that in this volume of the “Highlander” are captured reflections of the school days you will never forget. Reflections of the classes that seemed endless, especially at the end of the semester, and the excitement before the game each Friday. Reflections of the thrill when the Homecoming and May Queens were announced and your first glimpse of the decorations for the dapce. Reflections of the last rushed rehearsals for the class play and the last meeting of the annual staff before the deadline. Also, the trance all the girls were in before the Prom. But most of all, reflections of the good feeling it brought you just to be part of ctiu hurried, fun-packed school life. These are the memories we hope are captured within this volume of the “Highlander.” x
