In 1931, forty eight freshies entered Highland High School. We chose as our officers: Lynette Meloy, President, Harry Zeller, Vice Presidentg Evelyn Jenny, Secretary, and Lu Verne Alldridge, Treasurer. Miss Wenger acted as our sponsor. Our only activity was a wiener roast held at our sponsor's home. As typical freshmen we had a good time and did not seriously regard our lessons. When thirty seven of us returned as Sophoinores, we began to contemplate our education more seriously. Our officers were Lu Verne Alldridge, President: Harry Zeller, Vice President, Russel Stocker, Secretary and Treasurer. Our freshman sponsor, Miss Wenger, and Mr. Herrmeyer acted as our sponsors.
