Lost Contmet of Atlanus Seen for a Da On the 31st of October, the lost con- tinent of Atlantis rose from the depths, to become the setting for the Hornet Day Assembly. Surrounded by coral, assorted sea life., such as lobsters and clams, and the ruins from an ancient temple, the 1969-70 Homecoming Court was present- ed. Of the 55 girls who originally were presented to the student body, Kris Woodhouse was crowned as queen to rein over the royal subjects for all of the Hornet Day activities. After the assem- bly was over court mexnbers, their es- corts, and parents were invited to a reception. That same evening brought the Homecoming football game with Sandia. Queen Kris and her court were in at- tendance and were presented to the foot- ball fans during the halftime festivities. The Homecoming game, played at Wil- slon Stadium, saw the Hornets beat San- ia. A H1 5, all D 0 wh ' v ., .f 'fc ,- ' ' 'iid ' 'Q fi . --.ww-:saw N 1' Above: Cam King entertains the student body.
