HHS Sports Another Fine Track Team The defending state champ, Highland, was again expected to demonstrate its su- periority in track and field. Coach Sanchez's tracksters, with a host of returning letter- men and a few new faces, stood a good chance of taking state again in 1969. Re- turnees Robert Crawford and Mike Mac- Eachen were strong in the 440 and relays. With the help of lettermen Bernie Bowers, Allen Hisey, and Glen Anderson, the relays were in great shape. Hisey and Speedster Robert Proctor handled the shorter dashes. Distance races were also strong points, with most of the varsity cross-country team taking care of that department. Senior Steve Ross specialized in shot put and discus, and Roger Ruvolo handled the javelin. Pole-vaulting again for Highland was junior Brad Winter.
