Facult Joins Intramurals l Mr. Robert Figge uses his ballet sliill to gracefully spilic .a volley ball. Each year the Girls' Athletic Association sponsors several intramurals which attract many students as well as faculty members. This year's intra- murals included volleyball, table tennis, bad- minton, speed-a-way, field hockey, and basketball. The games were held after school and were open to tlle entire student body and faculty. Mrs. Roland and her partner demonstrate their sicill in table tennis. Students take an active part in table tennis intramurals.

Duck Drag --New at HHS Ken Otteni, Joe Morris, and Arthur Hayman lead in a cheer for the senior's duck. I in.. W umm E F I Q--. K A T Sophomore John Mori with Red Baron, senior Bruce Merrill with Chuck Duck, and iunior David Simms with Dennis Duck prepare for the drag. Highlands senior class sponsored the unique Duck Dragl' and challenged the underclasses to a race. Each duck was trained to come to some sort of a call. Chuck Duck, the seni0r's duck, won the drag and received a trophy. After the Duck Drag everyone went to the Duck Dance. Bruce Merrill, Joe Morris and Harriet U'Ren give Chuck Duck a vic tory ride.

Seniors presented Death Takes A Holiday, in the schools theater under the direction of Miss Shannon. Leading roles were played by Ken Shears as Death, Alice Nation as Grazia and Don Kramer as the Duke Lambert. Other roles were played by Diane Murphy as Alda, Barbara Houk as Cora, john Hanlin as F edele, Peggy Gernert as Stephanie, Mary Dornacker as the princess, Fred Warner as the Baron, Sharon Glinski as Rhoda, Mark Naylor as Eric, Bill Potenziani as Corrado, and David Hanna as the Mayor. Death, played by Ken Shears, tries explaining to Alice Nation why he cannot take her bacli to where he came from.
