Highland has moved ever forward and advanced in the fields of academics, sports, and citizenship. Our faculty and administration are looking ever ahead for means by which to improve our school. Our students are continually receiving high honors in the state and nation. Highland will always move forward and allow no barriers to halt its progress. And may there be no moaning of the bar, When I put out to sea, But such a tide as moving seems asleep, Too full for sound and foam, When that which drew from out the boundless deep Turns again home. Twilight and evening bell, And after that the dark! And may there be no sadness or farewell, When I embarkg For though from out our borne of Time and Place The Hood may bear me far, ' I hope to see my Pilot face to face When I have crossed the bar. ,T-Alfred, Lord Tennyson THE SCHOOL BOARD These arc the able citizens whose wise policies havc led our schools to their present high standings. Shown here are the members of the school board. Seated are: Danny McPherson, Richard Thorne, Mrs. A. H. Nicolai, and John Milne. Standing are: Bob Elder, John Varney, and S. Y. Jackson, presi- dent. Mr. John Milne, Superintendent of Schools, to whom we owe a debt of gratitude for his unfailing' guidance and support. 61 DR. N. G. TATE. fi sb. ASX. Her firm but friendly attitude makes her popular with all. 62 We at Highland are proud of our principal, Dr. N. G.
