HH vu 3 WV FOOTBALL TEAM 445.45 RESUME of 1951 FOOTBALL SEASON COACH PIGOTT ASST COACH DIEDEMAN The 1951 edxtron of the frghtmg Sandspurs started practtce on August 20 wrth 17 players re presented When school started 6 more players came out to glve us 23 players By practxcrng hard and long w1th Coach Prgott and Coach Dredeman the Sandspurs were ready for therr frrst game wtth Crescent Crty on September 21 and won 19 0 Co Captarns McNe111 and Kahhch led the Spurs to vrctory Kahlrch Grbson and Westmoreland scored touchdowns wrth Kahlxch luckrng an extra pornt HSHS vs JASPER '7-6 Kahlich scored a touchdown from 6 yards out then kicked the extra point to give HSHS 7 points in the 4th quarter to overcome a 0-6 deficit and upset Jasper 7-6 before a huge home town crowd.
