Small pox vaccination came during the season and many of the girls were inexperienced players. The girls appreciated the guidance and efforts of coach Peg Thomas. The Junior-Womans Club honored the team with a banquet on March 9th. At this time, jacketsfwere presented to the senior girls. Each member of the team was given a silver basketball. Letters were awarded to: Leilabel Collins, Lucille Barber, Mae Ola Beckwith, Norma Rae Lane, Eloise Stewart, Bobbye Duke, Darlene Skipper, Dee Touchton, and Barbara Jean Jordon. A The team will lose five players this year. They are: Captain Leilabel fCootery Collins, Co-Captain Lucille Barber, Mae'Ola Beckwith, Norma Rae Lane and Eloise Stewart.
