In Jrhis freshman year +he school offered us some sporls such as foolball. baskelballx baseball. efc. Bu+ +he school hacl a glee club which puf on many programs. AHhough +he school clicln'f have any sp-orl's acl'ivilies we had fhe privilege of parficipali'ng wi+h +he learns of Cenlral Vocalional High School and playing in ifs band. . As +he monlhs passed we soon had our firsl l'eers oi mid-year examinalions; la+er. The final ones. alfer which came vacalion Jrime. The summer days flew swil'lly by bringing in Seplember, The back-+o-school mon+h. bu+ we were sophomores now. Some boys dropped 0qu bul new ones came in. and There was a s'lig'hl' dividing poin+ Tor some of The boys. Some preferred presswork. while ofhers liked hand composiiion. In Jrhis second year of prinli-ng we were +0 s+ar+ work on Jrhe aulomaiic presses and move on lo advanced hand composifion. The ofher subjecfs we look were English, art mafhemalics. and world his+ory. which wasn'l so easy. Some of us boys have helped wi+h +he school paper and will fake over The dulies of The sfaff in our iunior year. As we add our knowledge of +he prinling Jrracle we become more definife as +0 which field of Jrh-e l'racle we prefer. And nex+ year we'll come back To The High School of Graphic Arls and Prinlinig +0 widen our knowledge so +hal' we mighl' supply l'he cily wirh good prinJrers and able honest and uprighl cilizens.
