LAST VVIZL AJVD TESTAJIIEIVT '57 fs- We, the Seniors of the Graduating Class of Ianuary 1949, ,ffm having proved ourselves far superior to our teachers-after 9 all, we are graduating and they are still here-wc, the superior 5 Seniors of lanuary 1949, declare this to be our last will and fi fi testament: Q rg To Miss Bieber we leave a staff of freshmen who can tile 'rr' from A to Z . . . to Mr. Bridgman, a Glee Club St. Peter will eye with envy . , . to Mr. Carter, a musty old Rembrandt, a Venus complete with arms, and Bob Hope's gag-writer . . . to Mr. Chusid, a victrola that doesn't stop for lunch every live minutes plus an all-girl orchestra . . . to Miss Coughlin, two thousand pear-shaped tomes . . . to Miss Davis, an honorary chair in the U. N .... to Mr. Feld, a radar set to help him cut down on the cuts . . . to Mr. Ivler, a pair of knee-pads, a Mr. Holmes pipe, hat, and spy- glass to help him track 'em down for the Lost and Found . . . to Miss Iarclz, a stop-watch, a pair of binoculars, and a one-woman helicopter complete with saddle to round up the stragglers as they come to school . . . to Dr. Kwit, plush chairs for the English Office to make the Seniors more comfortable . . . to Mr. Lynch, a brand-new lunchroom and a song titled Three Thousand Muddy Feet, a New Lunchroom, and You -llt should really mop up.j . . . to Mr. Machleid, a life-time membership in the Polar Bear Club plus ice- cubes for the oversized ice-tray, the swimming pool . . . to Mr. Markowitz, Z5 beautiful photographers models, a desert island complete with natives, and a bottle of hypo . . . to Mr. Markwood, a brand-new money-belt and a cash register . . . to Mlle. Martin, ze pupils who say ze bong joors wizout zc faux pas . . . to Doc Masters, for the pupils of his future classes, hearing-aids, that they may be quite sure of catching every word he says . . . to Mrs. Scheulen, a robot to take dictation, write letters, cut stencils, roll oil copy, and help with the all-round work . . . to lyfr. Schneider, a Super Squad to carry on with service come rain, sleet, snow, wind, or what-have-you . . . to Mr. Shepherd, turnstiles to enable him to enroll the freshmen in a more automatic fashion . . . to Mr. Towbin, Roosevelt Hospital and a couple of band-aids-for the other teams, of course . . . to Mr. Wolfe, a black-and-white checkered flag and a medal to pin on the boy or girl who slides in just under the late bell . . . to Mr. Yacknowitz, a bottle of air-wick for the Chem Lab . . . VV e do hereby set our seal unto this, the last will and testament of the superior Senior Class of Ianuary 1949, and do duly appoint Mr. Kalman and Mr. Davidowitz to see that its provisions are carried out.
