THE ORANGE AND THE BLUE Although some have always favored The violet's dark hue And the gallant sons of Clinton To the crimson rose are true. VVe will own devotion tender And honor shall be due, While old Commerce stands defender Of the Orange and the Blue. Through the four long years of high school, Midst the scenes we know so well, As the mystic charms to knowledge We vainly seek to spell, Or we win athletic victories, Be they many, be they few Still we work for dear old Commerce And the Orange and the Blue. When the cares of life o'ertake us, Mingling fast our locks in the gray, Should our dearest hopes betray us, False fortunes fall away, Still we banish cares and sadness, As old memories we renew And recall those days of gladness, 'Neath the Orange and the Blue. MARCHING SONG Look where the Orange banners fly, Hark to the sound of traniping feet. There is a host approaching nigh, Commerce is marching up the street. Onward to victory againg Marching with the drum beat and with song. - Hear the refrain, as it thundcrs along, As it thundcrs along. Behold, they come in view VVho wear the Orange and Blue VVhose arms are strong, VVhose hearts are true, Ever to Commerce, Ever to Commerce. COMMERCE HIGH FORWARD EVER Commerce High forward ever Colors flying and head held high, Onward and ever onward, To new victories as years go by. Rah! Rah! We all acclaim you, our Alma Mater VVith affection that ne'er shall die, And we're here to fight for Commerce, llere to serve old Commerce. Hail, hail to Commerce High.
