6raduate's Dream Last evening I was talking With an ex-Commence grad Now aged and gray, Who told me of a dream he had lust the other day. While snoozing in his study, A vision came 'to view I-le saw an angel enter Dressed in garments white and new. Said the spirit, l'm from heaven. The Lord has sent me down To bring you up to glory' - Put on your golden crown. Many teachers you've made angry, From few received good marks While your average grew poor and poorer As you listened to their barks So we need you up in glory For you have labored hard Until your brow is hoary. You have earned o great reward, Then both angel and the Commerce grad Started toward the golden gate. When passing close to Hades, The angel murmured, Wait l-lere's a place I wish to show you. l s the hottest place in l-Iell, Where the teachers who failed students, In awful torment dwell. The graduate saw before him Old torturers by the score. An easy chair and tan he grabbed And asked tor nothing more, I-le sat and sat and watched themm Saw them sizzle, scorch and burn, CAnd his former mentors saw him Whichever way they'd turnl Said the angel, Come up higher And the pearly gates we'll see. The graduate only answered, This is Heaven enough for me, Frank Androvitch
