The Hi-Y is a voluntary club program for boys in the tenth, eleventh, and twelfth grades of high schools, sponsored by the Young Men's Christian Association. lt's name is a combination of the term high - school Y.M.C.A. The Hi-Y movement is interna- tional in scope, Christian in emphasis, interde- nominational in character, and democratic in practice. The Hi-Y purpose is: To create, maintain, and extend throughout the school, home, and community high standards of Christian char- acter. The four planks of the Hi-Y platform are: clean speech, clean sportsmanship, clean scholarship, and clean living. We will welcome into our membership any male student who accepts our purpose and is willing to work with us in carrying it out. We try to encourage members to band together in a definite cause calling for high scholarship, physical health, moral worth, and an unself- ish service. We do not ask: What church do you attend? or what is your nationality? Neither do we limit our membership to those who are in the B or above scholastic group- ing. ik- 3 4 ,ww n MauMLmmv4w--,,M.:..wwefv- cu 5' 2: gg
