TARA GLASS Tara is planning to move to Calgary and stay there for a while after High School. Her hobbies are riding horses and curling. She has a lot of activi¬ ties to keep her busy, but can most often be found working at Bradley ' s, or throwing a party every once in a while. Her pet peeve is surprise parties. CELIA GOODWIN A hopeful physiotherapist, Celia has applied at the University of Alberta. High River has been home base for her school years and she is an active participant in many activities--past player and manager of the basketball team, reporter for C. G. I. T. , member of Hi-C, and the United Church Choir. She also enjoys playing trombone in the High River School Band. Her hobbies are music and riding in Red trucks. MAIVIS GRODZACH So far Maivis has no definite plans concerning academic studies after Grade 12. However, she does have hopes of being in Houston, Texas in a matter of months. Her purpose? Hooking a Texas oilman probably. Maivis has quite a variety of interests, some of which include good mu¬ sic, buckskin jackets, Trudeau, horseback riding, and.American boys--not necessarily in that order! .Her pet peeve--Monday Mornings. SARBI HARI A technical school or a universi¬ ty? Sarbi hasn ' t completely dec¬ ided yet which he will attend when he finishes school. Mean¬ while he occupies his time by reading books and working on the farm. He is also interested in taking trips to Calgary, curl¬ ing, and 4-H clubs. The High River girls don ' t seem to be too popular with him, though-- they ' re his pet peeve. SHIRLEY HENRY At the completion of Grade 12, Shirley plans to attend the Holy Cross School of Nursing. She is active in many community groups--Hi-C treasurer, C. G. I. T. president, 4-H treasurer, and a member of the United Church Choir. Curling is a favorite sport and she is an act¬ ive member of Student Union. Hobbies? Well, she ' s usually too busy rid ing in grey cars to have many. Pet peeve-lockers that just happen to lock them¬ selves. JOAN HUGHES A High School teacher seems to be Joan ' s ambition, but she feels she ' ll probably end up a clerk in a men ' s store, or some¬ thing. Her activities include Teen Town, curling, music, and Rangers. Her pet peeves are unidentified callers and careless drivers, but guess what her hobby is? Running people off the road. BRUCE HUMFREY Bruce hasn ' t decided yet what he wants to do after Grade 12. But right now he works a lot on the farm and enjoys tinkering with old cars and then selling them when they are in good running condition. His activities include being President of the H. R. H. S. Curling Club and President of the Gladys 4-H Beef Club. JUDY HUSTED After finishing High School, Judy plans to spend summer in Alberta and then head for the States and join the service (air force?). She says she doesn ' t have time for any real hobbies, except playing guitar. She belongs to the 4-H Horse Club, and with school, her horses, her car, and her job, she doesn ' t have time for much else --except on weekends--and then she finds time! 9

CAROL DUDLEY Carol is planning to enter the Faculty of Arts at the U. of A. and become a sociologist. Her activities include High School Basketball, Teen Town, and social convenor for C. G. I. T. One of her many hobbies is driving around in a tan and white truck. Her pet peeve is getting caught in the bathroom when the doorbell or telephone rings and no one else is home. She ' s probably not the only one ! PAM EDEY Pam is presently engaged in Teen Town and curling. She is co-captain of the basketball team and is a unit director in Intra-murals. Watch that mail box Pam ! Her hobbies are rid¬ ing, swimming, falling, hockey, and hockey parties. Her pet peeve is hockey games and basketball games conflicting. After High School she plans to attend university in Calgary and take Education. There are plenty of stairs there Pam, so be care¬ ful! NO PHOTO AVAILABLE MARVIN FLATERUD Marvin plans to attend N. A. I. T. when he finishes High School. His hobby is H. R. D. C. --whatever that is ! He also enjoys entertain¬ ing at home (especially during noon hours). One of Marvin ' s favorite activities is curling, and his pet peeves are Big Mouths and girls who think they ' re good. CHRIS FORD Chris hopes to attend University and get a degree in journalism. His hobbies are quite varied and include attempts at writing, reading science fiction, wiring his room for sound, and trying to keep his Volkswagen running. Chris was also a member of our Reach For The Top team. His pet peeve--his Volkswagen. GENE FOX Gene wants to attend Tech, or Mount Royal in Calgary when he finishes Grade 12. He plans to finish off his education there with a course in business admin¬ istration. At present, he keeps busy with his two main hobbies --girls and playing cards. He seems to enjoy playing basket¬ ball and attending hockey games as well as going to parties afterwards. His pet peeve is 5-foot, 4-inch blondes. BILL FRASER Bill plans to attend college to take Town Recreation Director¬ ship. His hobbies and activities are almost one and the same- sports such as football, hockey track and field, hard work, and Teen Town. Bill ' s pet peeve is referees, and his favorite say¬ ing? Open your eyes reff! MARGARET GETTY Margaret plans to attend Uni¬ versity and then travel around the world when she is finished High School. Her hobbies are sewing, coin collecting, acting in the High River Drama Club, and working in the school li¬ brary. Her activities must also take up a great deal of time since she works in the St. George as a waitress and baby-sits too. Margaret ' s pet peeve is depart¬ mental exams. NEIL GILLIS Neil plans to enter the law force and become a policeman. His favorite hobby at the moment is playing goalie for the High River Flyers, a hobby which he both enjoys and excels in. One of his many activities is driving around in expensive green Mustangs with bucket seats. His pet peeve is being one of the oldest boys in High School. 8

JOY JEWELL We all know how active Joy is in sports and countless other activities. In this respect, she seems to have chosen a very suitable ambition--that of a Physical Education Instructor. Some of Joy ' s hobbies include riding, driving, dances, and meeting new people. Her act¬ ivities are many also--basket- ball, volleyball, Teen Town, badminton, and swimming. KEITH JORGENSEN Keith ' s ambition is to complete Grade 12 and obtain a Universi¬ ty education. Afterwards he hopes to travel, especially through the smaller European countries. His pet peeve is teachers who crack dumb jokes that aren ' t really funny and then laugh at them. The activi¬ ty he most enjoys is driving cars. His hobby is fixing them after he has driven them. JON KINZELL Jon plans to major in Marine Biology at the University of Florida or the University of Cali¬ fornia, after completing Grade 12. His hobbies include horses and music, and as for activities --curling, track and field, intramural badminton, and a certain dark-haired girl, fill up his leisure time. ELEANOR LEPARD Eleanor is planning to make marriage her career when she finishes school, and in that case Congratulations are in order. It ' s a good thing she enjoys sewing and cooking! She also says she doesn ' t have many activities because she usually finds her¬ self at home writing piles of letters. Wonder who she writes to??? CAROL ANNE LONGSON Though known to most as Carol , this pint-sized senior insists her name is Carol Anne . She ' s often seen peeking over the wheel of her ' 51 Ford, en route to curling. (Pet peeve-- bucket seats. ) Her big aspiration is to be a Home Economist, but we think that ' s just a cover-up for her real ambition ! Her big¬ gest hope--to be tall, but don ' t worry Carol-good things come in small packages ! WAYNE LUNN After completing Grade 12, Wayne plans to attend the Uni¬ versity of Alberta. He is not yet sure what course he will take once he ' s enrolled. Wayne participates in and is interested in numerous sports activities. He particularly likes aquatics and wishes to swim competitively all year round. Wayne also seems to be interested in running, es¬ pecially during the evening-- any particular reason, or just to keep in shape? His pet peeve is uncertainty. MAUREEN MacDONALD Maureen will be found taking Nurse ' s training in Calgary in the near future and we all hope she doesn ' t have a weak stomach! Reading, record collecting, and ski-dooing are among her favor¬ ite hobbies. Maureen ' s pet peeves are homework (ain ' t that the truth!) and winter. Her act¬ ivities are working at the Twi¬ light Nursing Home, swimming and the inevitable--baby-sitting. MARGARET MacPHERSON Since coming to High River in September, Marg has really been a bright spot in the bleak halls with her friendly smile. Curling, Hi-C, and keeping the treasury of Student Union full, has kept her busy, busy, busy! After high school, University seems to be in the future for Marg, and let ' s hope that there aren ' t any 80 minute classes. 10
