LAURIE ANDERSON Laurie, our 1969 Teen Queen, intends to enter the faculty of Education at the U. of A. Her hobby is boys. When she isn ' t with them, she is reporter for Teen Town and social convenor for Hi-C. Laurie is sometimes seen keeping score for boy ' s basketball games. I wonder if it is to promote school spirit or to meet the teams! JOYCE BANGS Joyce is hoping to attend N. A. I. T. and become a Dental Assistant. Her activities are somebody called Duane. She is active in Teen Town, Hi-C, basketball, and badminton. Her hobbies are writing to Montana and eating pizza. Joyce writes the HRHS column for the Times. Her pet peeve is a certain teach¬ er who never knows who Joyce is from one registration to the next. Is it her face? Her prob¬ able fate-a pizzaholic. ARLENE BISHOP Swimming, horseback riding, reading, and anything else she enjoys doing, Arlene makes a hobby of it. Her activities are many--music, secretary for both curling and Rangers, Teen Town, and being room represen¬ tative. Arlene plans to attend the U. of A. next fall, but she is not sure which faculty she will enter. One of her ambitions is to travel. Any others??? GARY BOURBONNIE After Doc finishes school, he plans to work with Universal Ambulance in Calgary for a year and then to try out for a position in the R. C. M. P. His hobbies include riding in his Volks , the drama club, working at the hospital, and being a member of the local ambulance team. Last year he took over the position of man¬ aging the school basketball team as well as being a mem¬ ber of the volleyball squad. His pet peeve-- small cars? GARY COOPER Gary plans to enter the Faculty of Physical Education at the U. of A. upon completing his Grade 12 year. Playing hockey for the High River Flyers and participating in most other sports occupy Gary ' s spare time. His activities include swimming and life-guarding. ROD COOTE Rod plans to attend the U. of C. when he finishes high school. His hobbies include horses, horses, and still more horses ! His act¬ ivities are skiing, and you ' ll never guess-horseback riding. Rod ' s main bug is swinging doors. NO PHOTO AVAILABLE NOREEN DOUGHERTY After Grade 12, Noreen plans to go into training as a nurse in Calgary or Edmonton. Her hobbies are swimming, horse¬ back riding and the drags , believe it or not! ! She is an active member of Teen Town and was the 1968 Teen Queen. Noreen is also a member of our Student Council in the cap¬ acity of Social Convenor. Her pet peeve?-- Skinheads. RUSS DOUGHERTY Russ ' s future plans, as far as education goes, will probably take him to the Olds Agricultur¬ al School. Until then his time is occupied by basketball, foot¬ ball, curling, and his three favorite pastimes-diving, com¬ petitive swimming and— Cayley? 7

CAROL DUDLEY Carol is planning to enter the Faculty of Arts at the U. of A. and become a sociologist. Her activities include High School Basketball, Teen Town, and social convenor for C. G. I. T. One of her many hobbies is driving around in a tan and white truck. Her pet peeve is getting caught in the bathroom when the doorbell or telephone rings and no one else is home. She ' s probably not the only one ! PAM EDEY Pam is presently engaged in Teen Town and curling. She is co-captain of the basketball team and is a unit director in Intra-murals. Watch that mail box Pam ! Her hobbies are rid¬ ing, swimming, falling, hockey, and hockey parties. Her pet peeve is hockey games and basketball games conflicting. After High School she plans to attend university in Calgary and take Education. There are plenty of stairs there Pam, so be care¬ ful! NO PHOTO AVAILABLE MARVIN FLATERUD Marvin plans to attend N. A. I. T. when he finishes High School. His hobby is H. R. D. C. --whatever that is ! He also enjoys entertain¬ ing at home (especially during noon hours). One of Marvin ' s favorite activities is curling, and his pet peeves are Big Mouths and girls who think they ' re good. CHRIS FORD Chris hopes to attend University and get a degree in journalism. His hobbies are quite varied and include attempts at writing, reading science fiction, wiring his room for sound, and trying to keep his Volkswagen running. Chris was also a member of our Reach For The Top team. His pet peeve--his Volkswagen. GENE FOX Gene wants to attend Tech, or Mount Royal in Calgary when he finishes Grade 12. He plans to finish off his education there with a course in business admin¬ istration. At present, he keeps busy with his two main hobbies --girls and playing cards. He seems to enjoy playing basket¬ ball and attending hockey games as well as going to parties afterwards. His pet peeve is 5-foot, 4-inch blondes. BILL FRASER Bill plans to attend college to take Town Recreation Director¬ ship. His hobbies and activities are almost one and the same- sports such as football, hockey track and field, hard work, and Teen Town. Bill ' s pet peeve is referees, and his favorite say¬ ing? Open your eyes reff! MARGARET GETTY Margaret plans to attend Uni¬ versity and then travel around the world when she is finished High School. Her hobbies are sewing, coin collecting, acting in the High River Drama Club, and working in the school li¬ brary. Her activities must also take up a great deal of time since she works in the St. George as a waitress and baby-sits too. Margaret ' s pet peeve is depart¬ mental exams. NEIL GILLIS Neil plans to enter the law force and become a policeman. His favorite hobby at the moment is playing goalie for the High River Flyers, a hobby which he both enjoys and excels in. One of his many activities is driving around in expensive green Mustangs with bucket seats. His pet peeve is being one of the oldest boys in High School. 8
