Page 15 text:

We arise in the hushed hours of the dawn and steal silently to the elubrooms to organize, synthesize, memorize. We drink dark coffee and nod over our books in the still watches of the night. Campus frolicking abates examinations near. as Afterwards we wonder, was it real and tangible?— the anticipation, the mystery, the thrill of fraternity initiation— Ah, but it was a symbol of values that were real-fellowship, friendship, a true brotherhood, not of words but of acts and deeds.

Page 14 text:

A casual clasp of hands, a teasing word, an inobtrusive message from one pair of eyes to another . . . and beneath these simple signs the breathless mystery of one heart reaching out to another. The campus rings with the melody of their laughter, the merry music of young people in love. Suddenly or slowly a teacher ' s words or a phrase from a book, recalled and transmuted in our minds reveals to us for an instant the process of education— not as thousands of divergent facts and ideas to be memorized and assimilated, but as a unified and inter- woven pattern. Thus we begin to learn. Page Ten

•► V .If Roommate, fraternity brother, sorority sister, sweetheart, teacher, friend— such little words to symbolize the relationships which give meaning to our college experience— Our favorite lessons are those which teach us, at work and at play, the fundamental principles of group living. ■■■■■■■■ ■■■■■■■ ■ ■■■ ■■■■■B And suddenly, as on eagle wings, the years have flown, and we come to say good- bye, bound closest perhaps by the little things— the shared jokes, the midnight talk fests, all the helpful, hilarious, ignoble, dra- matic, wonderful experiences we shared which are forever a part of our Remembrance of Things Past.
