doreword Much has happened since that day tour years ago, when one hundred and ninety-six freshmen unpacked their suitcases and registered at Roberts ' Hall. The thought of living together for four years was thrilling, and many tilings were to be done. There was so much ahead of us! Of course we were green for a while, but before long we learned our way around and began to feel that we were a part of the college. Then came those terrible days when many of our fellow classmates left us to join the armed forces. We were heartbroken at the thought, but the boys themselves took it bravely. Although we who remained have missed them, the memory of the happy times we have had together will always be with us. High Point College will always hold a place deep in our hearts. We have grown to love the college, the stu- dents, the faculty, and all that is a part of it.
