APID progress — progress that you can see and almost feel is the progress of High Point and the richly developing Pied- mont district which surrounds it. Nowhere in the entire Southland is a pageant of industrial and modern community development being more sanely nor more soundly progressive today. Take for example the city of fifty years ago. A typical post-war com- munity of some few hundred people, growing their tobacco and cotton by primitive methods.
