I am sure after we graduate our most vivid memories will be of the seven weeks spent in the Operating Room. Walking into this department of our hospital is like entering a strange and interesting world. Our first weeks here are spent le arning a new language, sterile technique, and coordination b e tween doctor and nurse. We do this with knocking knees, shaking hands, and clenched teeth. Our next adventure is then in the Recovery Room where we learn the How's and Why's of reacting the patient. MISS HELEN CHERNICKY MISS RAYMA HEDGECOCK MRS, HILDA GADD 25

The expectant mothers come in very frightened of the un- known, but the thought of why they are here usually calms them. Watching a mother ex- amine her baby for the first time can be both amusing and heart-warming. Even working on Pediatrics with the ill children is a happy time.
