BLESS MOM AND DAD --- And then there were those who heard us when we first childishly prayed, God bless Mom and Dad, and who proudly watched our experimentalisteps when we first ventured out of the arms of our parents into a world where we, as individuals, moved alone. Ourfaltering steps were observed by our parents. their steadying hand ever ready, but always allowing us to continue without immediate aid. And so it was until we graduated from high school. Then came theyeventiul day when twenty-three sets vot parentsmieard am want to be a nurse. '' Maybe they had heard it many years before when a piping voicesstated, Il want to be’ a nurse when I grow up, ” but hearingstharesamaic declaration in high school’made it seem so near. But, yet, beinguiie parents they were, they warned of the pitfall, the hard work, and the studies) andstacm allowed us to continue, for the first time really on oursown. Their teachingseare rellectedsinsucmmm—i cma tie the living example of what they believe and of everything they have hoped for since we were born. Realizing that they are the foundation under ussandithe faith back of us, how could we fail them? To you, our parents, go our prayer of thankfulness t hat we are your chil- dren.and the adults of your teachings. God blessed us by making you our parents and you blessed us by your love and devotion. What more could we ask?
