SHARON FARRIS We, the Seniors, are proud to dedicate the '74 Coyote to Sharon Farris. Through her guidance as Junior Class Sponsor, she has enabled many classes to enjoy the Senior trip. We Seniors were only Freshmen when we experienced that memorable, and to us enjoyable, snow storm in Amarillo with her. We will never forget it. Yes, Mrs. Farris is a competent teacher, but she is much more—she is our friend!! 2 IV SCHOOL BOARD R. B. Willyard Tom Coffee Russell Landers J. D. His wittiness is difficult to surpass. Russell, along with Calvin, is a witty excuse maker. He is likeable and even though he's only been with us a couple of years, he has been an asset to our class. Karen is an excellent student and a capable person. Her quiet good humor and plea- sant attitude will always be an asset. KAREN MELLER Secretary-Treasurer Cathy is a teacher's dream student. She is an athlete, an avid student, and she possesses a congenial attitude toward everyone. CATHY BARTON Reporter Known by the class for her culinary abili- ties, Kathy is a favorite. Her compassion for others and the sound advice she gives in- dicates the strong self-confidence she possesses. KATHY GILCHRIST SHERRY BOUCHAN JOE KING RONDA POOL Even though Sherry was not an active class member, her cheerful laugh and sense of humor have added a lot to our class. Joe is the Romeo of this year's Senior Class. Besides being an extraordinary basketball player, he also has the ability to find a friend wherever he goes. Ronda is an organizer. She always has an idea for any or every project. Her poise and wit are sure to lead her to future success. Brenda is undoubtedly the quietest person in high school. Her shy agreeableness makes her pleasant to be around. BRENDA RAMIREZ The Seniors would like to take this oppor- tunity to thank our sponsor, Mrs. Nicholson, for her many hours of patient work with and for us. She has helped to make many of our dreams to become reali- ties. MRS. LINDA NICHOLSON Sponsor This version of the 1984 Coyote Corner has been visualized as a distinct possibility: COYOTE CORNER HIGGINS NEWS SEPTEMBER 15, 1984 CATHY BARTON has been in the hospital lately recuperating from an operation to remove bubble gum from her body. Seems she was trying for the World's Bubble Blowing Contest when her 15 foot bubble blew up. RONDA POOL has just opened a beautiful new gambling casino in downtown Higgins. This reporter was not too surprised to see who she hired as the table dealers—Eddie and Nicky!! We are all sad to hear that CALVIN CROW is also recuperating in the hospital. He and his car were involved in an incredible smash-up with a billboard. Apparently Calvin told authorities that with his blue glasses on, that girl on the billboard looked alive as could be. BRENDA RAMERIZ and her husband, Raymond, have made a nationwide chain store out of The Rebel. It is said that near each state line, another “Little Rebel can be found. This is the latest on our girl KAREN MELLER. It seems she is living in the San Fernando Valley in California. She is a happy flower child, skipping over the hills in a hippie commune. Even though Lonnie and KATHY GILCHRIST moved to the city shortly after her graduation, we like to keep up with them as much as possible. Kathy leads a very busy life as the mother of seven sons and as the head nurse at the city hospital. They say she has developed a booming voice to go along with her position of authority and that nobody dares to cross her. RUSSELL BOREN is making money hand over fist since last week. He finally received his promotion from box boy to head manager of the Red Bud Grocery. He had been sacking groceries for a long time, but he finally made it! Now maybe he can really afford to take out the boss's daughter. SHERRY BOUGHAN is slaving her heart away for Gwen Tarbox trying to make payments on a new 1984 car. She just finished her final payment last month on the 1974 model she bought during her senior year in high school. JOE KING has recently been appointed by the federal government to make recommendations to Congress as the main spokesman for the Women's Lib Movement. He has even changed his name to Josephine Queen in hopes of adding a feminine touch to this new role.
