From the halls of our school, many students have graduated with great honors. We are privileged to have some of the finest instructors in our state. We students are proud of our school. Dedication We, the Junior Class, wish to dedicate the 1964 COYOTE to our community because . . . We are first citizens of our community, then of our nation and of the world. We believe, therefore that our community deserves our pride, our faith and our loyalty as we work with our neighbors to make it an even better place in which to live. C.6.Qouvley Superintendent Mr. Gourley is a man of much in- tegrity and is always willing to lend a helping hand. His patience and understanding is appreciated by the entire student body. Mr. G. L. Detrixhe is truly a friend and helper to every student. His up- lifting ideas and the alacrity with which he works make him an out- standing example of the true Ameri- can. Q.C. Detrixde Principal School Board The School Board is composed of a group of citizens who give unselfishly of their time for the advancement of education and the welfare of the children in and around Higgins. C. Dear Gary, Due to the fact that you are janitor at the White House, working toward the position of Secretary of Defense, and were unable to attend our 1974 class reunion, I will clue you in. We were surprised to see that Joe Landers had returned from Moscow where he had been running a survey of Crest Toothpaste. In his report we found that Khrushchev has 13% more cavities than Johnson. We were shocked to learn that Lane Hill is selling Playboy magazines to raise funds for the Salvation Army. We found that Linda Mingus, while rooming with Pam Stout, is writing poetry for Carl Sandburg. Pam is working in “Maxines” where she can keep an eye on her dad. To our regret. Jack Hawkins was not able to attend, as he was on a government expedition trapping game on Wolf Creek. So far, all he has caught is three skunks and a bad cold. As for me, I am teaching English during the day and baby sitting with my many grandchildren in the evenings. Your classmate, Evelyn Nicholas Senior Class Will We, the Seniors of 1963-64, being of simple mind, and absolutely no judgement, however in excellent physical condition, classified 1-A; do hereby push some of our most valuable assets off on the following, with the understanding that if we flunk we can have them back. I, JACK HAWKINS, will my smelly sweat socks to Ronnie Johnson who wears them anyway. I, JOE LANDERS, do not have many abilities so I am going to keep them in case I need them. I, LINDA MINGUS, will my ability to read Shell Scott novels in history class to Christine Brown in hopes she will read something besides hot-rod magazines. I, EVELYN NICHOLAS, will my three sons to Mrs. Egner to watch after and keep in line through the coming years. I, PAM STOUT, will Cheryl Norton my ability to drive with an elbow out the window, two fingers on the wheel, and a coke and peanuts in the other hand in hopes she will not put another dent in the family car. We, LANE HILL AND GARY LAUBHAN, will two toothpicks a- piece to Ronnie Johnson and Jim Slavin to prop their eyelids open in class. We regret that they are third hand. Hereunto have we set our hand and seal and declare this to be our last will and testament.
